Located in the vicinity of valleys, hills and river Tungabhadra, Hampi is on the wish list of every explorer, tourist and video blogger. This beautiful city was once the capital of Vijaynagar Empire around 1500 AD until it was destroyed by Sultans. According to mythological legends, Hampi was earlier Kishkinda, the kingdom of Vanaras, ruled by Vali during the time of Ramayana. After Lord Rama killed Vali, Vali’s younger brother Sugriva became the ruler.
It is also believed that Hampi was the birth place of Lord Hanuman.
